Bask - Ramble Beyond (2017) (New Full Album)

Published on May 5, 2017
Bask may very well be next in line for the Southern Metal Throne. On their Bandcamp page, the Asheville, NC quartet says they ‚Äúwant rhythm heard for miles, melodies remembered for weeks and an honesty and sincerity felt to your bones.‚ÄĚ Well, mission accomplished, fellas: Ramble Beyond, Bask‚Äôs sophomore effort, is an aural delight, a massive, filmic, soulful record that offers a truly transportive experience. In order to pinpoint what makes Bask's metal so hauntingly beautiful, it might be dutiful to stare into the vast reaches of their influences. Whether it‚Äôs the cathartic nature of the relentless breakdowns that sucks you in, or the level of charisma and passion they put into every emotive note, it‚Äôs undeniably southern metal.

The Asheville-based quartet birthed a sound early on that skillfully mixed influences from stadium rock, metal, southern rock, Americana, progressive rock with stoner rock escapades. Their debut album, American Hollow, was a 6-track introduction to their own unique approach to rock ’n’ roll. The band’s sophomore album, Ramble Beyond, continues the conversation they started on American Hollow, but with more focus. They’ve shifted just slightly away from lighter classic rock and traditional southern rock themes, towards a darker, heavier feel. The breakdowns on Ramble Beyond venture through the dark underbelly of tonal glory. The builds are thicker, more ramped up and cathartic as hell. The climb out of the slower, quieter moments sludges up a mountain of riff glory before summiting with a full assault of the band’s insane power.

Toying with more polyrhythms, and sweeter vocals, Bask is tighter as a unit on their second album, no doubt a result of years of touring, and seem to have reached a new level of comfort with each other as musicians. While moments on this album become predictable, they are nevertheless enticing. The vocals have been toned down considerably from the first album. Guttural screams have given way to straight, ethereal singing with primal cries, often buried or leveled equally in the mix with more pronounced, heavier guitars and a rhythm section that would be the envy of any rock ’n’ roll band. Taking cues from Allman Brothers jams to sludge metal riffs and Americana soul, Bask's sound emerges more acutely on the new album as Southern gothic metal that is as dark and dreadful as it is soaring and beautiful.

The first track and first single off Ramble Beyond seems to encapsulate the album‚Äôs ethos. ‚ÄúAsleep in the Orchard‚ÄĚ opens with a sweet, folky acoustic guitar arpeggio with lingering, ominous long tones rising in the first minute. A full assault of the band quickly reminds you this is not your daddy‚Äôs southern rock, before everything again slows into a molasses melody ripe with haunting solos. Bask does an exceptional job of telling a wide range of stories in their music. Ramble Beyond is only six tracks, but it has a novel‚Äôs worth of shifting ideas, harmonies and melodies echoing simple notions expanded on in complex layers. This is southern metal at its finest because it harps on all the strongest aspects of traditional southern rock styles in an original and unique manner.

Samsara Blues Experiment are a German three-piece who channel their musical forms in extended forays of blues-infused heavy psychedelia. Founded in 2007 by guitarist/singer Christian Peters, the group plays a mixture of stoner rock, psychedelic blues, Indian raga, thrash metal and traditional folk. The lineup is completed by bass player Hans Eiselt and drummer Thomas Vedder. Prepare to welcome the return of Germany’s heavy psych blues trio Samsara Blues Experiment, with the release of their new album this May 12th on Electric Magic Records and a full European and South American tour this spring!

Samsara Blues Experiment‚Äės fourth ‚Äúfull piece of wax‚ÄĚ One with the Universe is a culmination of all their works and truly a hard hitting cosmic invitation for floating into their universe of spiritual progression. The most evolutionary development compared to previous albums is the cosmic usage of analog synthesizers, keyboards and effects, while not losing focus on catchiness and well-rendered songwriting. These five new epics subtly integrate flashes from Jimi Hendrix‚Äė Electric Ladyland, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, with Canterbury Prog elements √† la Caravan and the fuzzed-out riffs of Kyuss. One with the Universe can not be put just into one genre: it is a multifaceted heavy rock album with tons of soul, courage and originality!

As it should, the second full-length from Oslo five-piece The Devil and the Almighty Blues shows marked growth from its predecessor. The Norwegian outfit released their self-titled debut early in 2015, and the six-song II works quickly to build on the potential shown previously in a thick, smokey vibe of classic heavy rock, laid back jam-prone psychedelia and pervasive melancholy. The blues, in other words, indeed proves mighty, even if one might still hear the sorrowful roll of ‚ÄúNorth Road‚ÄĚ and liken its vinyl-ready compression to Scandinavia‚Äôs still-pervasive retro movement.

In that second cut and pieces like 10-minute opener and longest inclusion ‚ÄúThese are Old Hands,‚ÄĚ ‚ÄúLow‚ÄĚ and ‚ÄúHow Strange the Silence,‚ÄĚ The Devil and the Almighty Blues display a wider array of influences and seem to nod as much to the Rolling Stones as to Graveyard while drawing on the languidly open sensibilities of bands like Child, All Them Witches or even Dwellers, if not directly than certainly through some measure of shared inspiration. The lineup of Arnt Andersen, Petter Svee, Kenneth Simonsen, Torgeir Waldemar Engen and Kim Skaug accomplishes this while enacting an immersive full-album flow that begins with ‚ÄúThese are Old Hands‚ÄĚ and does not let up across II‚Äės 47 minutes, offering patient execution and natural atmospherics through closer ‚ÄúNeptune Brothers‚ÄĚ whether an individual part or an individual track is as brooding as ‚ÄúWhen the Light Dies‚ÄĚ or as rocking as the finale itself.

That finale makes a fitting bookend to the start of ‚ÄúThese are Old Hands,‚ÄĚ which also finds The Devil and the Almighty Blues kicking out one of II‚Äės more upbeat thrusts. In context, and especially on repeat listens, ‚ÄúThese are Old Hands‚ÄĚ nonetheless does tremendous work in setting the tone for the rest of what follows perhaps most notably in its blink-and-you-missed-them transitions and the fluidity with which it shifts between parts. Hypnotic but memorable in its underlying shuffle, the song crashes out after about four minutes in and eases its way into a subdued jam topped by warm lead guitar and kept in motion thanks to ride cymbal and a prevalent low-end rumble. A louder solo emerges at about the seven-minute mark, and The Devil and the Almighty Blues seem to have hit their peak by the time the next two minutes are up, but they draw back to the chorus to round out in a reinforcement of structure that lets the listener know right away they‚Äôre in capable hands.

Like ‚ÄúThese are Old Hands‚ÄĚ before it, ‚ÄúNeptune Brothers‚ÄĚ takes some time to chill itself out, but it‚Äôs not long before The Devil and the Almighty Blues are ending their second offering on a crisp and cohesive final rendition of the hook. By then, the album has made its impression on a variety of levels ‚ÄĒ conceptual, atmospheric, performance, etc. ‚ÄĒ but it‚Äôs worth noting that where one might‚Äôve expected them to jam their way into oblivion in the closer, they instead finish tight, locked into a purposeful finale as if to convey to their audience that in fact they‚Äôre in no way done and have much more to say. In listening to II, one hopes that turns out to be precisely the case.

Billing themselves as groove-laden, riff-drenched, psychedelic heavy blues, this is the second album from Sheffield‚Äôs Regulus. The band themselves reckon that this is the record that has seen them nail down what they wanted as a sound, and listening to the 10 brilliant songs that make up ‚ÄúQuadralith‚ÄĚ it‚Äôs hard to disagree. Beginning with the chunky as you like groove of ‚ÄúDominion‚ÄĚ is a masterstroke. Coming on with a fuzzed up thud that could shake the earth, but without sounding like one of the myriad desert rock bands from the US. Instead there is a muscular and very British strong arm feel here. Nowhere is this better shown than on ‚ÄúLast Chance To Die Young‚ÄĚ ‚Äď party rock, that is if Orange Goblin and Motorhead had a party‚Ķ.and things get very messy indeed, lest the line about ‚ÄúI‚Äôve got some whiskey and I‚Äôve got some speed‚ÄĚ is lying to us. Singer Luke Jennings is a big part of this, gravel throated, he is also one of the bands two guitarists and does a fine job throughout.

It is a work that doesn‚Äôt see why it should get too bogged down in expectation, either. ‚ÄúSeven Tales Told‚ÄĚ explores the blues in a way that Sabbath might, while the slower, more monolithic ‚ÄúBones‚ÄĚ ‚Äď with its clever use of female vocals ‚Äď is a wander off down the more psychedelic roads. Indeed, it does seem that each song has a different aim, ‚ÄúHeart Of Stone‚ÄĚ for example has a heavy southern rock type vibe, but this is far from being a collection that is one of disparate thing that aren‚Äôt tied together. Where some albums with work as varied as the primal ‚ÄúThe Dream Reaper‚ÄĚ would sound like a compilation, ‚ÄúQuadralith‚ÄĚ despite its digressions wherever it chooses, is a cohesive record ‚Äď just one of a band with plenty of ideas they wanted to use. So it is that ‚ÄúDead Man‚Äôs Grave‚ÄĚ offers some sandpaper harmonies, ‚ÄúDutch‚ÄĚ swings and struts, and if you‚Äôre going to have an instrumental on the record then make it one like this, and you can almost see the headbanging that would go on in venues up and down the land in ‚ÄúOvercome‚ÄĚ and never have the words ‚Äúdig my own grave‚ÄĚ been sung with such downright glee.

Things end with the title track, and it‚Äôs the longest ‚Äď and even for this record ‚Äď most ambitious cut here. It also gives the album a fitting conclusion. Speaking about the platter that it gives it‚Äôs name to, the band said this: ‚ÄúThe Quadralith is a metaphor for ourselves, four distinct entities united in one purpose. Where our last album was a collection of songs written over the initial years that we experimented with our sound, ‚ÄúQuadralith‚ÄĚ is the product of a band who finally knows exactly who they are and what they want to express‚ÄĚ. That, in a nutshell, is the whole thing nailed. We‚Äôll just add the rather weedy epithet that ‚ÄúQuadralith‚ÄĚ is quite superb. The latest sonic offering from Sheffield stoner rock band Regulus, Quadralith is the musical expression of the growth and experience we have experienced over the last two years. Recorded at Playing Aloud studios and released by Off Yer Rocka Recordings, Quadralith is a big step forward in production and musicality for us all.

Mostly-instrumentalist trio Cosmic Fall ‚ÄĒ based in Berlin and comprised of guitarist/vocalist Mathias, bassist Klaus and drummer Daniel ‚ÄĒ formed in 2016 and worked quickly to turn around First Fall, their first full-length of improv-based works. Kick out the Jams arrives with a fittingly quick turnaround and brings forth seven new pieces in its digital form, topping 93 minutes in its total space-bound push. More impressive than the quantity of the work ‚ÄĒ though I won‚Äôt take away from the sprawling appeal (or the delightful, influence-on-our-sleeve pun in the title) of the 21-minute ‚ÄúEarthfull‚ÄĚ or 19-minute opener ‚ÄúSaturn Highway‚ÄĚ ‚ÄĒ is the chemistry that seems to have immediately found root in Cosmic Fall‚Äės sound.

They take a forward step in these tracks, to be sure, and there are more steps to be taken ‚ÄĒ a band like this, in the best case scenario, does not stop progressing, their material only comes to unfold more as a musical conversation between old friends; see Electric Moon ‚ÄĒ but as Kick out the Jams plays through its extended, immersive runtime, cuts like ‚ÄúInterstellar Junction‚ÄĚ and ‚ÄúStairway Jam‚ÄĚ feel especially bold in how open they are in allowing the listener to hear that process happening. Songs are varyingly active ‚ÄĒ only ‚ÄúWhite Stone‚ÄĚ is under 11 minutes long ‚ÄĒ and allow for Mathias to lead the way into the spaciousness of ‚ÄúPurple Weed‚ÄĚ while Daniel‚Äės toms propel ‚ÄúCosmic Conclusion‚ÄĚ at the album‚Äôs finish, but the core message behind Cosmic Fall less than a year into their tenure is one of ambition and the band‚Äôs deep motivation to develop the already palpable dynamic they have going. One can only look forward to hearing where their adventures take them and, indeed, where they take their audience.

Occasionally, a recording reaches out of the speakers and grabs you ‚ÄĒ shakes you ‚ÄĒ doesn‚Äôt invite but demands that you trip with it along whatever imagined pathways it produces. Abominable, the first full-length release from Dubuque‚Äôs Telekinetic Yeti (out on Sump Pump Records March 17) may just be the first such album of 2017. It is both impossible to believe that Telekinetic Yeti is a two-piece, and impossible to believe that it could be anything but. The unity and clarity of vision that Alex Baumann and Anthony Dreyer have developed together in such a short time is intimate and grounded‚ÄĒbut the breadth of sound that the duo achieves belies that intimacy, even while it relies on it.

This record is far greater than the sum of its parts; the production on Abominable (recorded at Flat Black Studios and mixed by the untouchable Luke Tweedy) is full and delicious. Driving and deliberate, Abominable hearkens back to classic stoner metal, but with intricacies of sound that invite even space rock comparisons. Even on more straightforward tunes, like ‚ÄúStoned and Feathered‚ÄĚ, there are twists and tricks that tease a deeper musical throughline.

The eight-plus minute instrumental, ‚ÄúColossus‚ÄĚ is where the album really finds its place. Dreyer‚Äôs drumming on this track is phenomenal. It would be trite to call this ‚Äúepic,‚ÄĚ but the storytelling (on all of the instrumental tracks, but especially here) is so damn solid that you‚Äôll feel like you just read some ancient poetry. The journey ‚ÄúColossus‚ÄĚ outlines is complete enough that, if you‚Äôre listening digitally, instead of on record, then track five, ‚ÄúLightbearer‚ÄĚ can catch you off guard. Abominable is a record to get lost in. It‚Äôs the musical equivalent of jumping in a van with three or four of your closest friends and driving until you have no idea where you are anymore. From the rev up into the opening title track to listening to the gravel fall off the edge of the mountain as you skid to a stop at the end of ‚ÄúHimalayan Hymn,‚ÄĚ this is a trip you don‚Äôt want to miss.

Stonerror - Stonerror (2017) (New Full Album)

https://youtu.be/myeNKXWa6_4

Published on Mar 1, 2017
Stonerror pushed all the right buttons with the release of their debut EP "Rattlesnake Moan". The band, JarosŇāaw Daniel - guitar , Jacek Malczewski - bass, ŇĀukasz Mazur - vocals and Maciej OŇāownia - drums, have now delivered on the potential shown on that EP with the release of their first full length album "Stonerror". Those raw edges found on "Rattlesnake Moan" have on "Stonerror" been sanded down a touch but have been done so without compromising any of the edgy grittiness that made that EP such joyous and essential listen for those fans of the stoner/desert persuasion. The Kyuss/QOTSA - like grooves, that were an integral part of the bands sound on the debut EP, are still there in abundance but are tempered with elements of psych, blues, alt/grunge and old school hard rock textures. combining to give the album a far more interesting and diverse feel.

Songs like "Red Tank", "Misbegotten" and "The Wolf" continue the bands tradition of jamming dusty desert grooves coated in clean melodic vocals over hard driven rhythms but it is when the band step outside of the restraints of their desert/stoner roots that things start to get really interesting. On "Los Hermanos" the band experiment with elements of mood and atmosphere utilizing a slow burning Colour Haze-esque groove over which hushed ,almost whispered, vocals are delivered, the song undulating between quiet passages of eerie otherworldliness and heavy stoner groove before finally finishing on a lone guitar motif and fading to silence. Not content with this the band even throw a little folky coloring into the mix with the delightfully sublime and eclectic "The Ride" pouring Wishbone Ash -like vocal melodies over a mix of acoustic and electric grooviness.

The psych drenched final track "Blues for the Red Sea" sees Stonerror exploring their lysergic side, the bands initial stoner/desert groove, populated with driving rhythms and reverb soaked vocals, suddenly taking off into full on instrumental mode with swirling Hawkwind-esque keyboard effects swooping back and forth over a backdrop of tumultuous drumming, boneshaking bass and acid tainted guitar colouring before finishing on a wave of glorious swirling, swooping noise. "Rattlesnake Moan" was an EP made by a band trying to find their feet in a scene populated by giants, "Stonerror" sees that band standing on those feet and now staring those giants square in the eye.

Daily Thompson is a German three piece that was founded in late 2012. The three soundvisionaries mix their personal influences from early Grunge, Garage & Indierock to a massive overridden, extremely fudgy Superfuzz-Bigmuff! Inspired by Fuzzrock at its best they have crafted a gigantic sound that combines Noise, Indie-Blues and even Stoner-Rock with the usual Fuzz-,WahWah- and distortion attacks Daily Thompson stands for. Boring Nation is their 2nd full length album released in 2016. Great sophomore release. This album is more polished and filled with catchy lyrics and hooks galore. This has great musicianship and song writing. HOLY SHIT! The fuzz is strong with this one. This takes me back to the 90's. Music really makes the sorrow fade away. All hail Daily Thompson for inspiring me in this banal and "Boring Nation".

Beijing Hard Rock outfit Electric Lady have been working the scene the past four years. This year they bring us their 60s-70s influenced rock and roll on their debut Queen of Electricity and Her Coming Kingdom. Featuring the staples of Black Sabbath era hard rock ‚Äď psychedelicia, stoner, blues ‚Äď just to name a few, the band injects their sound with such loving homage and genuine appreciation that never comes off as cheap. They mean business, and everything from the slick guitar works to the husky-voiced vocals fits like a glove. Superb vocals with hardly a hint of accent sang over a backdrop of gnarly stonerized blues grooves. Electric Lady is one hell of a tribute to 70s psych rock. Every riff and vocal note feels deliberately placed to create a sense of nostalgia.

It seems that everywhere you look, your products say ‚ÄúMade in China‚ÄĚ somewhere. Surprisingly, that‚Äôs where Electric Lady comes from bringing you a smash hit album full of hooks and turns to keep your head spinning for days. This is a killer album that is 70‚Äôs hard rock based with a woman lead that can belt the songs out like there‚Äôs no tomorrow. One word to sum the whole thing up, WOW! Holy Crap! FFOBR from China. Authentic heavy 70's influenced heavy jams. Great tunes and an impressive SLB cover. This is a monster! Sounds like a cross between Maidavale and Electric Citizen. Get this now.

1. Space Lady # 48 - 0:00
2. Jimi The Exploder - 4:21
3. Heaven In My Eyes - 10:58
4. Hard Rain Fallin' (Sir Lord Baltimore Cover) - 15:35
5. Electric Lady - 18:38
6. Crisis Pig - 25:26
7. For Dad - 31:44
8. Laser Blues - 34:24

This on-again, off-again Boston band featuring former members of Black Pyramid and Blue Aside is back on with their latest album In The Afterglow Of Unity. the formidable foursome have regrouped to offer an album rich in tone, riffs and guitar pyrotechnics that has evolved into an aural assault of epic proportions. They bring a heady, eye of newt brew that’s lost somewhere between ’71 and ’99. Dark and driving like Swervedriver’s lost classic Raise, filled with riff-y and groovin’ shooting stars that skirt the space between Sabbath and Dozer, graciously tripped out on the kinda ludes that spawned everything from Hum to Hawkwind… Yeah, that's the best bird's eye view I can paint at a glance of the Palace's multifaceted aural glory.

Bassist Adam Abrams leads in instrumental opener, ‚ÄúThe Owl in Daylight‚ÄĚ with a chunky, tightly tethered bass line that provides a sky sized canvas for dueling axe wielders Andy Beresky and Monte Newman to paint both ambient chords and clean riffs upon. Matt Netto gives the space station lifelines a suspenseful shake with atmospheric cymbal taps soon turning to a giant‚Äôs stomp of doom addled footsteps that leaves a three-toed imprint of Sabbathian sludge. The tune sets the tone for an album meant to be played without interruption. A retooled, revamped version of "Beyond the Stars" follows up the intro, a cut you might have heard if you were able to get an ear on the Stars, Dreams, Seas EP. With the new production job this song is a fuckin‚Äô monster breathing fire, death and ashen, melodically intertwined harmony riffs. Andy‚Äôs voice is in top-form and Netto‚Äôs a backbreaking, immovable force; the weight of his hits rewriting the rules of gravity as his fills precisely accent every tempo twist. Adam‚Äôs bass is cozily nestled into the cockpit where Beresky and Newman engage in furious combat over the 6-string control panel.

‚ÄúAwakened Dream‚ÄĚ is another returning traveler from the aforementioned EP and I‚Äôm seeing it in a whole new light. Part Badmotorfinger and part Call it Conspiracy, it has those wraparound riffs and crystalline tonalities of Kim Thayil and Tommi Holappa‚Äôs best work. Ignoring the shambling, doom-y note bends and harmonized Lizzy-isms is a futile task, and the washes of synth-y, cyclic guitar FX give the music a mescaline mindset heard on the early Swervedriver records. Riffs are driven like nails, the leads undulate like serpents in their infinite unfolding and the rhythm section fears no universal power‚Ķ A darker, gothic undercurrent sweeps beneath the waters of ‚ÄúThe Distant Shore.‚ÄĚ It‚Äôs got that jangling, dwell by night creep of The Cure in their heyday with a little more punk rock octane and breaking waves of riffage that cleanses the soul from life‚Äôs damage done. If goth-rock had any balls nowadays, suckled on the breast of 90s space rock while still keeping a 70s hard rock sensibility it would sound like this. They keep the arrangement bouncing from hypnogogic power-drug riffs to dreamy psychedelia in a way few bands are capable of.

They bust out the hypnotist‚Äôs watch on the sprawling, 9+ minute masterpiece ‚ÄúBefore the Dawn Descends.‚ÄĚ In terms of lyrics n‚Äô vocals, there is a catchy minimalism present at all times making use of only a few metaphoric lines with the song‚Äôs title repeated like a mantra. The riffing is vast with extensive lead guitar workouts careening in the death throes of a level 6 psychedelic experience towards a stripped down clean groove that culminates in a firestorm of twin guitar heroics before trailing off into the autumnal drone, ‚ÄúThe Absolute and the Relative.‚ÄĚ Starting off as a rolling stoner riff thunder, ‚ÄúSoulstorm‚ÄĚ lives up to its name and then some; the first half all about establishing an unchallengeable mid-tempo groove and then wrecking it into a freight train of Thin Lizzy gallop in its climactic endnotes. In the Afterglow of Unity is a masterpiece in a modern era of rock music much in need of masterpieces. The flow from song to song is seemless, a magnetized prog-rock sequence where each track bleeds into the next. There‚Äôs no weak link. These compositions are airtight and feature four men working and complimenting all of the strengths in their arsenal. The Palace is calling‚Ķ I‚Äôll meet you at its delirium gates.

1. The Owl In Daylight - 0:00
2. Beyond The Stars - 1:53
3. Awakened Dream - 7:34
4. The Distant Shore - 14:02
5. Troglodytes - 19:24
6. Deus Ex Machina - 25:13
7. Pink Quarter - 29:17
8. Decadent Decay - 31:07
9. Before The Dawn Descends - 36:09
10. The Absolute And The Relative - 45:11
11. Soulstorm - 46:09
12. The Sunfaced Moon - 52:50

You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking.
And after a while, you can work on points for style
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake
A certain look in the eye, and an easy smile
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to
So that when they turn their backs on you
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder
You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older
And in the end you'll pack up, fly down south
Hide your head in the sand
Just another sad old man
All alone and dying of cancer.
And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it's too late to loose the weight you used to need to throw around
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone
Dragged down by the stone.
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?
Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everythings done under the sun
And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer.
Who was born in a house full of pain
Who was trained not to spit in the fan
Who was told what to do by the man
Who was broken by trained personnel
Who was fitted with collar and chain
Who was given a pat on the back
Who was breaking away from the pack
Who was only a stranger at home
Who was ground down in the end
Who was found dead on the phone
Who was dragged down by the stone.

Graphic displays melt the steel like blacksmiths
Black Wu jackets queen B's ease the guns in
Rumble with patrolmen, tear gas laced the function
Heads by the score take flight incite a war
Chicks hit the floor, diehard fans demand more
Behold the bold soldier, control the globe slowly
Proceeds to blow swingin swords like Shinobi
Stompgrounds and pound footprints in solid rock
Wu got it locked, performin live on your hottest block

Electric Moon - Demoon (HQ)

If you have been clicking on my links it's no surprise that I like stoner rock. This band is by far my favorite, with so many albums and live performances, I still haven't experienced all their music. I hope you enjoy.

side note to nighthag, you have to put on headphones and enjoy your favorite indica to really appreciate this music, I know it's not your usual choice, but if you would indulge me, I'm sure you will really appreciate it

Just wanted to say, thank you to all of you who have given such great links to some of the greatest music.
I might not be coming back here, it appears that I'm not wanted here because I'm a TROLL, which I don't dispute, but I always made it clear I was trolling, and what I said shouldn't be taken as truth…but that wasn't good enough for some, they were really offended that what i was saying was not the truth and, according to them, I was hurting the game. So, once again, thank you and goodbye.

LYRICS

I question not me, it only happens to others
I can't deny reality as lite gets smothered

If the lines can be read between
Maybe you can tell me then what it all means
Cause he who paints the big picture runs the whole scene

Locked down, I gotta get it out
Impending doom, a cloud above my head
Why me? My faith has been devout
Blasphemous? Am I better off dead?

Punishment, for all my sins

A burning thought inside my mind
Has me full of pity for all of human kind
As we move forth, we fall further behind

Fear of death, will my life go on?
Controlled fate ? On the corner rolling dice
Punishment, but I've done nothing wrong
In my eyes, who really pays the price

My lament, for the human race
Guilty, punishment for all my sins

Dread the day that brings the truth
Punishment for what I've done
Sentence me for all my sins
Bound in fear for what I've got
Though not much it seems a lot
Life is death and no one wins

Bustin' my ass, another day another dollar, as I kneel down and I
confess to the father that I'm suffering a burning question of
the truth, whether or not to pull the trigger or to jump right
off the roof, 'cause I did things normal and just like all my friends
but now I'm positive and life it all ends
Punishment, for all my sins, I repent

In reality, we all must face the fact that the majority
of the people are out there smoking crack, getting doped up,
shooting that shit into their veins, the question must be asked if
we have any brains left, or right or wrong in this song,
a question we all ask and must answer before long, 'cause no one
is safe in this world, what's the deal, the sentence is death and to
what court do I appeal ?

Punishment, for all my sins, I repent

My favorite song

"Stargazer"

High noon, oh I'd sell my soul for water
Nine years worth of breakin' my back
There's no sun in the shadow of the wizard
See how he glides, why he's lighter than air?
Oh I see his face!

Where is your star?
Is it far, is it far, is it far?
When do we leave?
I believe, yes, I believe

In the heat and the rain
With whips and chains
To see him fly
So many die
We build a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
Just to see him fly
But don't know why
Now where do we go?

Hot wind, moving fast across the desert
We feel that our time has arrived
The world spins, while we put his dream together
A tower of stone to take him straight to the sky
Oh I see his face!

Where is your star?
Is it far, is it far, is it far?
When do we leave?
Hey, I believe, I believe

In the heat and the rain
With whips and chains
Just to see him fly
Too many die
We build a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
To see him fly
But we don't know why
Ooh, now where do we go

All eyes see the figure of the wizard
As he climbs to the top of the world
No sound, as he falls instead of rising
Time standing still, then there's blood on the sand
Oh I see his face!

Where was your star?
Was it far, was it far
When did we leave?
We believed, we believed, we believed

In heat and rain
With the whips and chains
To see him fly
So many died
We built a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
To see him fly

But why
In all the rain
With all the chains
Did so many die
Just to see him fly

Look at my flesh and bone
Now, look, look, look, look,
Look at his tower of stone
I see a rainbow rising
Look there, on the horizon
And I'm coming home, I'm coming home, I'm coming home

Time is standing still
He gave back my will
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Going home
I'm going home

My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is leaving here
But it's not home
But it's not home
Ooh

Take me back
He gave me back my will
Ooh ooh ooh ooh

Going home
I'm going home

My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is leaving here
But it's not home
But it's not home
Ooh

Take me back, take me back
Back to my home ooh, ooh, ooh
